(Objectives: The period from 1600 to 1707 was an important epoch in the history of Marathas. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj established the Maratha state. Later, Chhatrapati Sambhaji, Chhatrapati Rajaram and Maharani Tarabai led the Maratha struggle of independence against the Mughal rule.
